The Christmas Light

I have worn glasses since I was in middle school. I don’t need glasses to read, but I do need them to see things that are far away. That has been the situation with my eyes from the time I was twelve until I was forty years old, but once I turned forty something changed. One morning I tried to read something that was very small print, but I could not read it. I needed more light to see what it said. I would like to say that was a onetime event, but my eyes aren’t getting better. If I want to read something small, I put on my glasses and make sure I am in a well-lit area. Without good light we are unable to see clearly. The Bible says that Jesus is the true light of the world. Without Him, we are unable to see God, we are unable to see the world clearly, and we are unable to really see ourselves. The title of this message is, “The Christmas Light,” from John 1:9.
