We are continuing our series, “We the Church.” Our lives are filled with relationships. We have relationships with family members, friends, co-workers, neighbors, etc, but the most important relationship that we have is our relationship with God. Prayer is essential to nurturing that relationship. One thing that is clear about the first church is that they had a close relationship with God, so when they ran into opposition it was not surprising that they turned to Him in prayer. The prayer they offered was recorded so that we could learn about prayer from them. This sermon title is, “We the Church: People of Prayer,” from Acts 4: 23 – 31.
